I really liked this episode. It wasn't too long nor was it full of useless gullyfluff. I am firmly in Sean's corner when it comes to defending the original version of the Tiki Room. Although I have not had the pleasure of seeing the Under New Management version, I have seen it on You Tube and am horrified that it was ever even considered, much less approved. The original was a nice tranquil immerse show that, admittedly, did run a little long in this age of shortened attention spans. I think the abbreviated version currently at Disneyland is a perfect balance of brevity and yet still gives the full show effect. To the best of my knowledge, nobody seems to miss the Offenbach sequence. I believe that a chorus of lyrics was also removed from the opening "Tiki Tiki Tiki Room" song as well. I have a very soft spot in my heart for the Tiki Room (We both debuted in 1963!) and I have enjoyed the show literally hundreds of times. I have as many memories of growing up at Disneyland as I have of being at my grandparents house and I am very protective of Disneyland's legacy and continued ability to remain relevent. I can feel your love for the parks and it comes through very nicely. Nice choices of music for this episode! Sounds very familiar. The music usually seems overbearing and often played at a higher volume than some of the voices. This episode allowed me to enjoy both the music and the (still occasionally overlapping) voices of the show's anchors. Whomever did the music editing on this episode made this episode stand out for me. Keep up the good work guys.
